SPECIALTY PRIMERS Foundations is our complete and versatile line of specialty primers and undercoats. Interior/Exterior Stain Blockers STAINGUARD 526 100% Acrylic Stain Blocker/ Primer (Download TDS / MSDS) STAINGUARD 100% ACRYLIC STAIN BLOCKER/ PRIMER is a premium water-based, 100% acrylic primer/sealer/stain blocker designed to be applied to a variety of interior and exterior surfaces. It resists tannin and nail head staining on woods such as cedar and redwood. Seals in stains such as marker, crayon, lipstick, graffiti, water stains, smoke and burned or charred surfaces. Its high-hiding, water-based formula provides a low-VOC, low-odor, quick-dry alternative to solvent-based primers. Apply STAINGUARD to seal in stains on a variety of interior and exterior surfaces: wood, plaster, drywall, hardboard, masonry, fire-damaged walls, ceilings and trim, acoustical ceiling tiles and other porous surfaces. Can be applied to new and previously painted surfaces. Severe stains may require multiple coats. Interior /Exterior Block Fillers FILL TITE 179 Acrylic Block Filler (Download TDS / MSDS) FILL-TITE is a premium acrylic block filler formulated for both interior and exterior, above grade, porous concrete, block and other masonry substrates with surface voids. FILL-TITE has a high resistance to both efflorescence and alkali and their resultant paint film and surface deterioration. It provides an ideal base for most acrylic and other topcoats. It has excellent enamel hold out. It may be used on both interior and exterior surfaces with a wide variety of topcoats. Interior /Exterior Metal Primers METALGUARD 334 Zinc Dust Primer TT-P-641 (Download TDS / MSDS) METALGUARD ZINC DUST PRIMER TT-P-641 is a rust inhibitive primer designed for application on weathered galvanized or slightly rusted galvanized surfaces. It also is designed for use on rusty metal surfaces. It offers excellent adhesion and may be used as a finish coat to reproduce the appearance of a weathered galvanized finish. It is an excellent primer under 100% Acrylic latex paint. 330 Quick Dry Alkyd Rust-Inhibitive Primer (Download TDS / MSDS) METALGUARD QD ALKYD RUST-INHIBITIVE PRIMER is a quick-dry primer for use on interior and exterior ferrous metal. It produces a corrosion-resistant base coat that may be topcoated with a variety of finishes such as alkyd, latex, acrylic, waterborne or epoxy products. It has excellent adhesion to a variety of ferrous metals including steel and iron. 338M Acrylic DTM Primer (Download TDS / MSDS) METALGUARD DTM ACRYLIC METAL PRIMER is a waterborne acrylic, rust-inhibitive primer. It may be used to prime both interior and exterior ferrous and galvanized metal surfaces. It does not contain lead, chromates or heavy metals. It is low in VOCs and dries quickly. Interior Acrylic Primers EARTHSCAPES 221 Zero VOC Eco-Friendly Primer (Download TDS / MSDS) EARTHSCAPES ZERO-VOC LATEX WALL PRIMER is a premium latex interior wall primer. It provides excellent sealing of drywall, plaster, and smooth masonry surfaces. Designed for use where zero-VOC and low odor are important considerations during application and drying time. Ideal for homes, hotels/motels, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, airports and other similar facilities. GRIP TITE 166 Acrylic Masonry/Plaster Primer (Download TDS / MSDS) GRIP TITE ACRYLIC MASONRY/PLASTER PRIMER has been specifically formulated for exterior, above grade masonry and interior masonry and plaster surfaces. It has a high resistance to both efflorescence and alkali, and their resultant paint film and surface deterioration. AQUA KOTE 231 Latex Enamel Undercoat (Download TDS / MSDS) AQUA KOTE LATEX ENAMEL UNDERCOAT is our premium acrylic primer for application to both new and previously painted interior surfaces. It is a high-hiding primer that exhibits excellent leveling, sealing and sanding characteristics while improving the durability of applied topcoats. It has excellent adhesion to galvanized metal. INSUL KOTE 530 Latex Vapor Barrier Primer (Download TDS / MSDS) INSUL KOTE VAPOR BARRIER PRIME/FINISH is a special coating and vapor barrier. It reduces loss of interior moisture through walls, thereby reducing heat loss and protecting against moisture damage. Its low-odor, low-VOC formula is designed to be applied to new or previously painted drywall, fully cured plaster or smooth masonry surfaces. Also use to prime canvas-wrapped pipe insulation.
